How much do I charge for teaching English to a French student?
I am an American who just moved to Brussels, Belgium. A family would like to hire me to give English lessons to their 14 year old son. I was wondering how much to charge hourly for this type of service? Has anyone else tutored a foreign language to children?

I would expect the cost to be around 40 Euros per hour. (try googling it!)

In the States, the going rate would be about $15- $20 for just a native speaker, higher for someone with a degree in teaching. 40 euros sounds really high to me, but things are more expensive in Europe.
