How much is the People to People Student Ambassador Program?
How much is the People to People Student Ambassador Program?
On average, I mean. I've been nominated to go to England, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland for 20 days from the US. Also, is it worth it? If you've been on this program, some knowledge would be great. THANKS.

It depends on what program you decide to choose. I was "invited" to one of their meetings, and found out there that the cost was $6,000 for 19 days. It was a little bit too steep for me, but they do offer ideas for fundraisers and scholarships. The scholarships are only for $1000, though.

i was invited also;to go to australia and new zealand. have you gone to the meetings? i suggest you do;because they'll tell you the price there.&you dont necessarily have to be going in order to go to the meeting.they said my price was about $4000.

Surname Firstname Streetname number Postcode Town Some will put B- before the postcode and town but is not compulsory. They charge per size. One standard, one non-standard. Be careful with cards. some are odd sizes and they cost more to send, especially abroad. There should be a collection point for mail in the building. If there is a packet delivered and you are not in the postie will leve a card for it to be collected from the post office. You will need id to collect..

Well, it's not a fake. But it has changed drastically since it's inception. Now there is little left of the educational part and it's much more an over priced tourist trip. Trip costs can easily reach $6,000+++. Your letter is one of thousands that are sent out each year by this organization, so while it makes you SOUND special, it's really not. The money you would spend for a 3 week trip could finance a good portion of an ENTIRE YEAR exchange with an organization such as YFU, AFS or Rotary. You'd also have all the benefits that go along with such an exchange such as cultural and language immersion.

NO, it is not a scam! lol. i went on a trip last year with people to people to England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. it was the best time of my life! i met sooo many amazing kids and learned sooo much! it's not like school or anything, you pretty much go to a bunch of places and learn. you may have a silly little quiz every now and then; but you can't fail. they also give you a high school credit once you have completed the program. also, you were sent that letter because you were either nominated by a teacher or a student in your school that has been on a trip with them the previous year. yes...it is expensive. most europe (they have ones that go to asia and australia) trips range from $6,000-$8,000. although, you can pay by month (about $900 per month) or choose any other type of billing plan that you want. people to people also offers fundrasing programs. i know a girl that was in my group who raised every single cent for her trip! also, EVERYTHING is included in the price. hotels, 3 meals a day, attractions, transportation, airline tickets, etc are all included. Misc. Info: -most trips last about 20 days. -you go with a "delegation" which is made up of about 40 kids from your area as well as 4 "leaders" who are teachers from your area. -you have a homestay...where you live with a family in the country that you are visiting for 2 or 3 days. -you have to go through a process in order to be accepted (3 letters of reccomendation and an interview) although, they accept most kids -you have monthly meetings with your delegation before you leave to get to meet the kids and leaders -IT WILL BE THE BEST EXPERIENCE OF YOUR LIFEEEE! have fun. and good luck :]

It costs quite a bit of $$ but is a pretty good program. Go to their meeting in your town and learn all about it.
2 :
just attend the meeting tht's on the paper and they'll tell you all about it and how much it cost. it can cost $10-4k but all fees are included but if you go you should bring at least $500 for snacks and souvenirs plus you get to do rly cool activites and meet some of the greatest ppl ever =] you can also receive a credit for going but you have to complete the assignments they tell you to do such as completing a journal, an essay about the country(ies) you're going to, and the online quizzes

i went to france, england, and whales when i was 12 and it was really fun. You make friends with people you will never really meet in everyday life. In 2006 i think it was $5000 but its worth it. Some people in my group fundraised all of it.You can also get high school and college credit if you do their assignments journal, projects, ect. You also stay with a homestead family for about 3days and you get to see what there life is like. My homestead family made me feel right and home and were the nicest british people i ever meet
