I got a letter from People to People Student Ambassador Program.?

I got a letter from People to People Student Ambassador Program.?
I just received a letter from the People to People Organization. They are offering to send me to England, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands for the summer of 2009. I was wondering about the cost, and whether or not it's worth the money. My family is a little tight on money right now, so I need to know what I'll be spending my on. Also, I was wondering if some of the people that went in the past could tell me about their experiences, and whether or not you could tell me about you would do it again.

I received a letter last month, inviting me to go to Japan. I had to decline because of the expenses (not counting room and food, just the airplane flight). I think this is overrated because these rich kids have the opportunity to "buy" high school or college credits. I strongly think that there should be financial aid or full scholarships. It's up to you if you want to go. I heard that it was a great experience. But think about it--you can still get high school or college credit for free... instead of tossing in 5,000 dollars. Good luck and I hoped I helped!

My son had the opportunity to participate in a people to people trip to Italy and Greece in 2006 at the age of 11. He met wonderful kids with whom he made the trip and he had a fabulous time attending many events as well as learning about the different cultures. The cost is somewhat expensive but they ask you to write letters to solicit donations from friends and family. I would highly recommend the trip. I am looking to send my son when the trip for Australia comes around again.

The straight a's theory is not true. The leaders do not judge you by your grades. They judge you on your maturity level. To get in, you have to submit some forms, two teacher recommendations and one adult recommendation. After that, one of the leaders will contact you and set up an interview date. The interview determines whether or not you're accepted, but don't worry about it. It's really simple. Once you're accepted, you attend a series of meetings to prepare you for the trip and to get to know some of the other students in your delegation.

How can I get a summer job in Belgium?

How can I get a summer job in Belgium?
Hey:) I'm 16 years old, I've moved to Belgium last year. I can't speak French very well, but I understand everything they tell me. I need a job desperately, and I'm wondering that where do I look? Is there some international students office, or something like that? Thanks in advance Daniel

The main area you may find a Summer job would be at the seaside in the shops, cafés, restaurants or hotels. Another possibility, but as you do not speak French this might be a bit more difficult, would be in the Ardennen which is also a very touristic place during the Summer. Your best bet would be the seaside. Take a day off, take the train to Ostende and check out the ads stuck on the front windows of the different establishments. That's the only way you will be able to find a student's job. (in my very modest opinion) Another possibility - doable in every big city that is visited by a lot of tourists e.g. Brussels, Bruges, Yper, Namur, etc...- is as a tour guide. I wish you luck. Hope this helps.
