That is SO cool! Have fun! Start jogging every morning before school. Not only will you keep a good weight, but you will also get to see cool cites, and you will get to know locals too ;) Good idea to go vegetarian while there! Have fun, and hope this helps ;)

Actually, pay careful attention to the cultural norms and eat as they do and you'll be fine. North Americans eat quickly and don't stop to savour their foods. They also just eat way too much. But if you look at a culture like the French (sorry don't know much about Belgium food culture), asking for seconds is taboo, as is snacking. If you enjoy their foods but also enjoy them in the same way that they do (slower pace, smaller portions), you'll be just fine. Actually, since Europe spends a lot more time getting around on foot in general, you may find that you come back in even better shape than before - even though you're eating richer foods, and all the so-called "bad" foods we try to avoid in Canada. The book "In Defence of Food" by Michael Pollan talks quite a bit about how the French eat full-fat foods, drink "too much", smoke, and yet are still healthier than us. It's an interesting read which you may find some good guidance from for when you're over there (and when you come back too!)
